The Hughes 9201 provides standard IP data access with rates up to 492 kbps (send and receive), classifying it as a Class 1 BGAN terminal. It also excels in supporting Streaming IP services with selectable Quality of Service (QoS), including guaranteed data rates (e.g., 32, 64, 128, 256 kbps) and the BGAN X-Stream™ option, essential for live video broadcasting, videoconferencing, or mission-critical VPN traffic.

Rugged Design and Multi-user Capability

With an IP55 protection rating, the Hughes 9201 is engineered to withstand dust and water jets, enabling reliable operation in harsh weather conditions (operating temperatures from –25°C to +60°C). By integrating a Wi-Fi access point (802.11b) and supporting up to 11 simultaneous sessions, it can quickly transform any remote site into a high-speed mobile office, streamlining team collaboration.

Versatile Communication Interfaces

The terminal ensures broad compatibility with standard equipment through its multiple interfaces. It includes Ethernet ports for wired connections, a USB interface, and notably, an ISDN port for 64 kbps circuit-switched voice and data.
